A few days ago I canned some homemade pizza sauce for next weekends backyard pizza party family photo shoot at the Kosters. Dougie Koster built a wood burning pizza oven over the summer so we’re combining some family photos with a pizza cookout.
Can’t wait to debut my sauce made from my very own heirloom tomatoes mixed with some canning tomatoes from my FAV farm in Medford, 7 Oakes. I started by sauteing some onion, lots of garlic and carrots all from my garden…. then added about 15lbs of overripe peeled tomatoes and simmered the sauce for a few hours. YUMMO!
