I LOVED this wedding…
beautiful bride
handsome groom that ALSO prepared ALL the delicious Hawaiian luau themed food
unbelievably nice wedding party
dj playing island music
gorgeous sunny day
beautiful coral flowers (by bailey at Forest and Field Creative)
very talented sister of the bride that serenaded the happy couple beautifully
and so on…

Such a great event with the coolest people. Emily and Ryan got married at a organic cattle farm in Boring, OR. They know the owners who graciously offered their home for the event.

When I drove out to the venue a couple days prior it was completely pouring down rain, Ryan was gearing up to get started with catering and many other people were finishing up last minute projects. When I arrived on that Saturday, the sun was BRIGHT with no rain in sight. It was perfect! Everyone was having so much fun dancing, laughing and celebrating… I wish I could have put the camera down many times and joined in all the fun! Especially because the mango/habanero cocktails looked SO delicious and happen to be my favorite. 🙂 But I kept it professional and enjoyed the wedding behind the lens. Thanks again Ryan and Emily for including me in your beautiful wedding celebration!!! Enjoy.

Clark and Amy are getting married next month on November 2nd in Sellwood. Fortunately, with their busy schedules we were able to squeeze in an evening on the Portland Waterfront for some pre-wedding photos. They are the CUTEST couple and I’m so excited to shoot their special celebration!!! More of Clark and Amy to come in the next couple months!!

  • […] Engagement photos – Our photographer, Danielle Krause, surprised us with an offer to do an engagement photo session so we got dolled up and took her up on the offer! We had a great time getting to know Danielle and we love the photos. This was one of the most (if not the most) important parts of the wedding for me, so I was super picky about who we went with. Danielle was a great deal and gets great photos. Can’t wait to see what they look like after the wedding! I Instagrammed a photo (right), but you can check out the whole set on her website. Last Sunday my little bro, his beautiful girlfriend Melissa, Trinity and I drove out to Hood River to take some family pictures and pick apples. The sky was completely clear and it was the perfect fall temperature of about 68 degrees. We stopped at Mt. Hood College to snap a few pictures before heading out Hwy 84 to the Kiyokawa Orchards in Parkdale, Oregon which is about 1.5 hours from Portland.  Melissa and Jimmy are expecting their baby girl in early December… just in time for the holidays.  Keep an eye out for pictures of this little bundle of joy on the blog shortly after.  Cant wait to meet my niece!  She’s going to be SO spoiled and beautiful!  xoxo

This is Noah, Melissa and Jesse… Noah’s a very special, adorable, happy and busy little boy!  I loved taking his 1 year pictures…. even though he didn’t sit still for more than 2 seconds.  🙂  Which was great because every time we sat him in his little chair he would dart toward me and give me a big hug!  SO cute!  Hope you enjoy his sweet little face…

A few days ago I canned some homemade pizza sauce for next weekends backyard pizza party family photo shoot at the Kosters.  Dougie Koster built a wood burning pizza oven over the summer so we’re combining some family photos with a pizza cookout.

Can’t wait to debut my sauce made from my very own heirloom tomatoes mixed with some canning tomatoes from my FAV farm in Medford, 7 Oakes.  I started by sauteing some onion, lots of garlic and carrots all from my garden…. then added about 15lbs of overripe peeled tomatoes and simmered the sauce for a few hours.  YUMMO!  I love summer veggies!  Keep an eye out for a sneak peek from the Koster party soon.
